bailie 004 (3).JPG
 A badly flaking painting.
First I fill in all the missing paint with Gesso.
Then I match all of the different paints to cover the Gessoed areas.
Then I clean and varnish the painting.
I had already sold this piece when I broke it. It was in 138 pieces minus the dust and shrapnel.
 This is what followed.
First I replace and glue all of the pieces like a puzzle.
Then I fill in the shattered pieces with Paperclay.
Then I sand it all down and repaint.
And the final product shows no flaws whatsoever. The client was pleasantly surprised.
